I use Internet Explorer 7?

and just recently when browsing I keep getting "Internet Explorer has encoutered a problem a needs to close, send error report " message. Doing my nut in. I ran all the scans and can't find any spyware, trojans etc. MSN and Yahoo msgr run ok, just when I browse pages.

Any ideas, cheers.

I use Internet Explorer 7?ie

As a lot of people on here have already said Browse with Mozilla Firefox instead it will never shut down like that anything made by Microsoft is unreliable.

I use Internet Explorer 7?microsoft internet explorer

Use Firefox
yeah get rid of it same happened to me its useless

fire fox works allot better
It's not a virus, just an unhandled exception in poorly written IE7 code.

Scrap it and get Firefox, Opera or Safari. Firefox is nice

http://en.www.mozilla.com/en/firefox/
i get it once or twice a day its a glitch

try this

To fix IE7

========

Boot windows in safe mode, if windows fails to do this select safe with networking or some other safe option.

In safe mode, using explorer delete the contents of Datastore folder.

Datastore folder is found in

c:\windows\softwaredistribution\ datastore.

This is safe to do as the file will rebuild itself. You may have to do it again 6 months time etc.

reboot computer

In IE7

Open the: –advance tab –

Click - restore defaults

- tick the instruction to empty the temporary files when the browser closes.

- disable phishing filter

Usually this is the trick, but if you still have problems, go to Google and search for “Reset IE7” as for a major shake up fix.
It could be a variety of reasons such as incompatible Add-ons, incompatible toolbars, lack of system resources (RAM), malware, Java problems, etc. Hard to say without knowing the error details.

First run your resident security products such as antivirus and antispyware applications. If everything comes up clean, try uninstalling your toolbars such as Google or Yahoo through Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. If the issues continue, go to Tools, Manage Add-ons and disable each one by itself to see if one of them is the culprit. If you are still having troubles, update your Java by following these steps.

Assuming that you are in the Administrator account, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and uninstall everything that says J2SE, Java and Java Runtime. Reboot (some computers require a reboot to complete the uninstall process). Then go to the site below and download the most recent version of Java.

Afterwards, in IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab and scroll down to the Java section and tickmark the "Use 1.6.2 (version changes with each update) for applet". Click Apply, Click OK and reboot (a reboot is required for some computers for the settings to stick).

http://www.java.com/en/download/index.js...

Finally if everything above has been ruled out, you probably have a system resources problem. You can see if your computer can handle more RAM by going to Crucial.com and running a scan.

http://www.crucial.com/index.asp

It's important to note that everything takes RAM. Not only security products (such as active anti-spyware, anti-virus and firewall) eat up memory but your operating system, active browser windows, running applications (such as Word, Gaming, Messenger, Photoshop, etc) and malware
hi

like people above me suggested you download firefox, and get rid off IE
Microsoft did something different and you need to download another file to got with it. Go to this site.
i get that alot on ie,so i use firefox most of the time
Ok - 1st off try scanning for spyware / viruses with a different program - grab a demo, MS Defender for example, even with the latest definitions does not pick up on some things that the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware did.

Once you are sure theres nothing nasty running check to see if all your hardware is properly configured. Right click "my computer", select properties, select the hardware tab, click "device Manager". Scroll down the list looking for any expanded trees with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in them. You'll notice one if its there - if there isnt then all is well.

Next thing to do is run all the available MS updates, upgrade IE if theres an upgrade available - you'll probably have to select the custom upgrades for that - and finally - make sure you are running the latest versions of all your plugins, Quicktime, Flash, etc etc....

Then download firefox :-)
Easy, get Firefox...

Less buggy, not as easy to exploit, awesome add-ons, it's faster, and doesn't crash as much.
Get Mozilla Firefox it's free and way, way faster more reliable with no errors whatever. Keep IE you can have both on the Google Toolbar. IE is better for dealing with Microsoft business but that's all.

Cheers.
use firefox as main browser .if you don`t need EX7 delete it

if you have bt-yahoo you need to be in EX7 to get virus etc updates from norton
You can try this tool to fix it:

Massage box internet explorer:(yahoo! mail Beta experienced a login error:name: type error-214682328

This seems to be a recurring problem with Yahoo Mail Beta. I too have experienced this several times.

Sometimes, I can clear all browser cache and Yahoo cookies files and the problem goes away. Other times that does not work.

I also fixed the problem before by upgrading my Java version.

Unfortunately there is not an easy, cut and dried solution to the problem. Most everyone here will tell you to simply clear browser cache and history files and reboot. Honestly, that does work sometimes, but not every time.

I routinely switch back and forth between regular Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Mail Beta. Everything you need to know about switching back and forth (like I do frequently) is here on the bottom of this Yahoo Mail help page...

I just tried it and got there. I'm thinking you may have been infected, may have a trojan (or spyware?) that is hijacking you computer. Might want to run a scan.

Also, I use Firefox browser most of the time. Try downloading it and try to get to same website. But I'd still run that trojan scan. :-)

Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close...again...and again...and again....?

when I am trying to connect to the internet I get the following message 'internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close', this happens every time. My connection is ok cos I can still use msn, and if i just drag the error message out of the way I can use the internet. It is on a wireless laptop but also happens when I connect to landline so dont think it can be a problem with my wireless connection. I have been on microsoft and hp sites and none of their trouble shootin tips help. sometimes the error message comes up as soon as I log on - before I have even tried to connect to the internet! can anyone help - this is driving me crazy!!

Thanks

Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close...again...and again...and again....?download ie

OK. Sorry to hear about your problem. There are a number of steps i'd do to try and sort the problem.

First of all download 'Spyware Terminator' and use this to see if any spyware or adaware is causing the havoc. If anything is found, delete it and try running IE again.

If that doesn't work try installing AVG and see if a pesky virus is behind this.

If you still got a problem try re-installing IE and get the latest updates.

If all else fails you will have to start using Mozilla Firefox as an alternative.

Good Luck!

download firefox and see if u have any problems .. run a spyware sweeper of some sort ..
get firefox
switch to mozilla firefox. ie is poop.
I encountered the same problem and had to switch to firefox. I also suggest that you run an anti-spyware program like Spybot OR ad-aware (do not run the two simultaneously).
i have firefox and still having the same problem as you, i have 6 unread emails on yahoo that i cant read grrr.........
Please reinstall internet explorer and that will fix your problem.

And if you like you can update it to the latest version.

cheers
download the latest version ( internet explorer 7) if you havent done so already.
I've had that when I'm ON Line and I wondered if it was because they found spy-ware they couldn't handle so shut you down.
dont worry, your not the only one, this has happened to me on numerous occasions, and it drives me mad

i dont know why internet explorer continues to crash for so many users, you would think microsoft would sort this problem out,its never been a stable browser and this is a shame as if it was i would use it alot more

if you havent allready i would recommend you upgrade to internet explorer 7(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/product... is much more stable than its predesessor and is a intergral part of windows vista

or you could use any of the other browsers freely avalible to download, mozzila firefox(http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/)is probally the most popular alternative browser and is very stable, plus it has loads of free plug-ins avalible on-line

opera(http://www.opera.com/download/)is another popular browser and is very easy to use,and flock(http://www.flock.com/)is a similar type of browser which is aimed towards social networking and meeting people

my personal favourite is netscape8(http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/),its main feature is its built in security center with anti-spyware scanner and very good pop-up-blocker

good luck
I had same problem, came off I-E 7, and went back to I-E6, its much better.

Internet explorer not working for internet but FireFox is working Why?

I was using Internet explorer and through that I used to browse internet on my Yahoo DSL. All of a sudden it stopped working, that means I could not browse internet and everytime it says that 'Cannot find server or DNS error'.

After this I brought firefox in a flash drive and installed. That is working properly. Even my yahoo chat and other chats are working properly.

Can anyone help me out in fixing my Internet Explorer internet browsing problem?

Internet explorer not working for internet but FireFox is working Why?internet explorer

Internet Explorer is fragile and it is subject to just about every bit of malware out there. I have dumped IE entirely, and you ought to consider doing the same.

Meanwhile, or if you won't get rid of IE, go to the Microsoft Web site and see if there are any updates to IE that you haven't installed. Get them and use them. If that doesn't work, eliminate everything associated with IE from your drive, use Firefox to go back to the Microsoft site, and re-download IE. Or do what I first suggested--stick with Firefox and give IE the heave-ho that it deserves.

Good luck!!

Internet explorer not working for internet but FireFox is working Why?microsoft office internet explorer

cause ie suxs
Try a restart. Windows always seems to need that. ;)
the best thing u could do is to reinstall it

if u have windows XP u can try the following:

go to Start-%26gt;control panel-%26gt;add/remove programs once u have this window open u will see 3 options and a left side panel select the 1 that says add/remove windows components. In here another small window will appear, inside u will see the Internet explorer icon u will need to uncheck and then click next to remove it from ur computer. after the proces click on finish. , this will get it off, and to put it back in take the same steps and this time re check it. that will put a brand new IE browser on ur computer and it should work like new.

Also if u have a firewall installed make sure is not blocking its access to the internet ;)
That's normal, most of Microsoft products r lame...Don't try to fix ur ie, u should keep using Firefox it is better (U realized it for urself), and other software besides that from Microsoft...Free software rock!!
Forget about using IE. Start and keep using Firefox, a way better web browser than IE.
Open the IE and go to tools at the top, then go to internet options.

click on the security tab and left click on eack of the icons at the top. Make sure that the Defalt is greayed 0ut on all of them, if not select default on them and apply. Then go back to the top and select connection. Make sure never dial a connection is checked. Left click on settings and make sure it is automatic detect settings checked. Left click LAN settings and make sure automatic detect is checked there too.... I hope this takes care of IE and it works again.

Internet explorer does not work?

I am running Windows XP HE. When I try to open Internet explorer under a limited access account ("guest" account) I get an error message "unknown software exception". How do I fix this?

Internet explorer does not work?internet explorer 6

You can not access Internet explorer through guest account. For that you have to permit the guest account to access Internet explorer. Better you access it through administrator account.
