For the past month or so my Internet Explorer AND my yahoo messenger keep freezing and giving me an error message saying "Program has stopped responding". I have cleaned out my temp files, cookies, did full disk cleanup and even ran McAfee AND Windows One Source for viruses or unwanted hardware and it says that everything is fine. Has this happened to anyone?

my experience with vista so far at least the ones i have had to go out on for service call is that it is a program that is still very unstable and mcAfee %26amp; Norton's just don't perform well on it, they both miss alot of virus and spyware just slips right by
The last one I worked on we went to the following programs and its working well now:
AVG for virus
AVG anti for spyware, malware, rootkits
www.grisoft.com be sure and get newest versions for vista
spybot search %26amp; destroy 1.5
www.safer-netowrking.org
get the newest version as it will work on vista old one will not.
also go to www.snapfiles.com
IE Privacy Keeper- look for it under the freeware section-internet cleanup, it says only XP but it does work on vista

This may be down to a shortage of RAM, you can disable some unnecessary services to see if that helps.
