I use Internet Explorer 7?

and just recently when browsing I keep getting "Internet Explorer has encoutered a problem a needs to close, send error report " message. Doing my nut in. I ran all the scans and can't find any spyware, trojans etc. MSN and Yahoo msgr run ok, just when I browse pages.

Any ideas, cheers.

I use Internet Explorer 7?ie

As a lot of people on here have already said Browse with Mozilla Firefox instead it will never shut down like that anything made by Microsoft is unreliable.

I use Internet Explorer 7?microsoft internet explorer

Use Firefox
yeah get rid of it same happened to me its useless

fire fox works allot better
It's not a virus, just an unhandled exception in poorly written IE7 code.

Scrap it and get Firefox, Opera or Safari. Firefox is nice

http://en.www.mozilla.com/en/firefox/
i get it once or twice a day its a glitch

try this

To fix IE7

========

Boot windows in safe mode, if windows fails to do this select safe with networking or some other safe option.

In safe mode, using explorer delete the contents of Datastore folder.

Datastore folder is found in

c:\windows\softwaredistribution\ datastore.

This is safe to do as the file will rebuild itself. You may have to do it again 6 months time etc.

reboot computer

In IE7

Open the: –advance tab –

Click - restore defaults

- tick the instruction to empty the temporary files when the browser closes.

- disable phishing filter

Usually this is the trick, but if you still have problems, go to Google and search for “Reset IE7” as for a major shake up fix.
It could be a variety of reasons such as incompatible Add-ons, incompatible toolbars, lack of system resources (RAM), malware, Java problems, etc. Hard to say without knowing the error details.

First run your resident security products such as antivirus and antispyware applications. If everything comes up clean, try uninstalling your toolbars such as Google or Yahoo through Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. If the issues continue, go to Tools, Manage Add-ons and disable each one by itself to see if one of them is the culprit. If you are still having troubles, update your Java by following these steps.

Assuming that you are in the Administrator account, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and uninstall everything that says J2SE, Java and Java Runtime. Reboot (some computers require a reboot to complete the uninstall process). Then go to the site below and download the most recent version of Java.

Afterwards, in IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab and scroll down to the Java section and tickmark the "Use 1.6.2 (version changes with each update) for applet". Click Apply, Click OK and reboot (a reboot is required for some computers for the settings to stick).

http://www.java.com/en/download/index.js...

Finally if everything above has been ruled out, you probably have a system resources problem. You can see if your computer can handle more RAM by going to Crucial.com and running a scan.

http://www.crucial.com/index.asp

It's important to note that everything takes RAM. Not only security products (such as active anti-spyware, anti-virus and firewall) eat up memory but your operating system, active browser windows, running applications (such as Word, Gaming, Messenger, Photoshop, etc) and malware
hi

like people above me suggested you download firefox, and get rid off IE
Microsoft did something different and you need to download another file to got with it. Go to this site.
i get that alot on ie,so i use firefox most of the time
Ok - 1st off try scanning for spyware / viruses with a different program - grab a demo, MS Defender for example, even with the latest definitions does not pick up on some things that the free version of SUPERAntiSpyware did.

Once you are sure theres nothing nasty running check to see if all your hardware is properly configured. Right click "my computer", select properties, select the hardware tab, click "device Manager". Scroll down the list looking for any expanded trees with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in them. You'll notice one if its there - if there isnt then all is well.

Next thing to do is run all the available MS updates, upgrade IE if theres an upgrade available - you'll probably have to select the custom upgrades for that - and finally - make sure you are running the latest versions of all your plugins, Quicktime, Flash, etc etc....

Then download firefox :-)
Easy, get Firefox...

Less buggy, not as easy to exploit, awesome add-ons, it's faster, and doesn't crash as much.
Get Mozilla Firefox it's free and way, way faster more reliable with no errors whatever. Keep IE you can have both on the Google Toolbar. IE is better for dealing with Microsoft business but that's all.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

Cheers.
use firefox as main browser .if you don`t need EX7 delete it

if you have bt-yahoo you need to be in EX7 to get virus etc updates from norton
You can try this tool to fix it:

Massage box internet explorer:(yahoo! mail Beta experienced a login error:name: type error-214682328

This seems to be a recurring problem with Yahoo Mail Beta. I too have experienced this several times.

Sometimes, I can clear all browser cache and Yahoo cookies files and the problem goes away. Other times that does not work.

I also fixed the problem before by upgrading my Java version.

Unfortunately there is not an easy, cut and dried solution to the problem. Most everyone here will tell you to simply clear browser cache and history files and reboot. Honestly, that does work sometimes, but not every time.

I routinely switch back and forth between regular Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Mail Beta. Everything you need to know about switching back and forth (like I do frequently) is here on the bottom of this Yahoo Mail help page...

I just tried it and got there. I'm thinking you may have been infected, may have a trojan (or spyware?) that is hijacking you computer. Might want to run a scan.

Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close...again...and again...and again....?

when I am trying to connect to the internet I get the following message 'internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close', this happens every time. My connection is ok cos I can still use msn, and if i just drag the error message out of the way I can use the internet. It is on a wireless laptop but also happens when I connect to landline so dont think it can be a problem with my wireless connection. I have been on microsoft and hp sites and none of their trouble shootin tips help. sometimes the error message comes up as soon as I log on - before I have even tried to connect to the internet! can anyone help - this is driving me crazy!!

Thanks

Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close...again...and again...and again....?download ie

OK. Sorry to hear about your problem. There are a number of steps i'd do to try and sort the problem.

First of all download 'Spyware Terminator' and use this to see if any spyware or adaware is causing the havoc. If anything is found, delete it and try running IE again.

If that doesn't work try installing AVG and see if a pesky virus is behind this.

If you still got a problem try re-installing IE and get the latest updates.

If all else fails you will have to start using Mozilla Firefox as an alternative.

Good Luck!

download firefox and see if u have any problems .. run a spyware sweeper of some sort ..
get firefox
switch to mozilla firefox. ie is poop.
I encountered the same problem and had to switch to firefox. I also suggest that you run an anti-spyware program like Spybot OR ad-aware (do not run the two simultaneously).
i have firefox and still having the same problem as you, i have 6 unread emails on yahoo that i cant read grrr.........
Please reinstall internet explorer and that will fix your problem.

And if you like you can update it to the latest version.

cheers
download the latest version ( internet explorer 7) if you havent done so already.
I've had that when I'm ON Line and I wondered if it was because they found spy-ware they couldn't handle so shut you down.
dont worry, your not the only one, this has happened to me on numerous occasions, and it drives me mad

i dont know why internet explorer continues to crash for so many users, you would think microsoft would sort this problem out,its never been a stable browser and this is a shame as if it was i would use it alot more

if you havent allready i would recommend you upgrade to internet explorer 7(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/product... is much more stable than its predesessor and is a intergral part of windows vista

or you could use any of the other browsers freely avalible to download, mozzila firefox(http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/)is probally the most popular alternative browser and is very stable, plus it has loads of free plug-ins avalible on-line

opera(http://www.opera.com/download/)is another popular browser and is very easy to use,and flock(http://www.flock.com/)is a similar type of browser which is aimed towards social networking and meeting people

my personal favourite is netscape8(http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/),its main feature is its built in security center with anti-spyware scanner and very good pop-up-blocker

good luck
I had same problem, came off I-E 7, and went back to I-E6, its much better.

Internet explorer not working for internet but FireFox is working Why?

I was using Internet explorer and through that I used to browse internet on my Yahoo DSL. All of a sudden it stopped working, that means I could not browse internet and everytime it says that 'Cannot find server or DNS error'.

After this I brought firefox in a flash drive and installed. That is working properly. Even my yahoo chat and other chats are working properly.

Can anyone help me out in fixing my Internet Explorer internet browsing problem?

Internet explorer not working for internet but FireFox is working Why?internet explorer

Internet Explorer is fragile and it is subject to just about every bit of malware out there. I have dumped IE entirely, and you ought to consider doing the same.

Meanwhile, or if you won't get rid of IE, go to the Microsoft Web site and see if there are any updates to IE that you haven't installed. Get them and use them. If that doesn't work, eliminate everything associated with IE from your drive, use Firefox to go back to the Microsoft site, and re-download IE. Or do what I first suggested--stick with Firefox and give IE the heave-ho that it deserves.

Good luck!!

Internet explorer not working for internet but FireFox is working Why?microsoft office internet explorer

cause ie suxs
Try a restart. Windows always seems to need that. ;)
the best thing u could do is to reinstall it

if u have windows XP u can try the following:

go to Start-%26gt;control panel-%26gt;add/remove programs once u have this window open u will see 3 options and a left side panel select the 1 that says add/remove windows components. In here another small window will appear, inside u will see the Internet explorer icon u will need to uncheck and then click next to remove it from ur computer. after the proces click on finish. , this will get it off, and to put it back in take the same steps and this time re check it. that will put a brand new IE browser on ur computer and it should work like new.

Also if u have a firewall installed make sure is not blocking its access to the internet ;)
That's normal, most of Microsoft products r lame...Don't try to fix ur ie, u should keep using Firefox it is better (U realized it for urself), and other software besides that from Microsoft...Free software rock!!
Forget about using IE. Start and keep using Firefox, a way better web browser than IE.
Open the IE and go to tools at the top, then go to internet options.

click on the security tab and left click on eack of the icons at the top. Make sure that the Defalt is greayed 0ut on all of them, if not select default on them and apply. Then go back to the top and select connection. Make sure never dial a connection is checked. Left click on settings and make sure it is automatic detect settings checked. Left click LAN settings and make sure automatic detect is checked there too.... I hope this takes care of IE and it works again.

You can not access Internet explorer through guest account. For that you have to permit the guest account to access Internet explorer. Better you access it through administrator account.

You should try disabling your firewall that you have on. I know that might sound unsafe but that might help your problem. Also I recommend that you switch to Mozilla Firefox. It's better than Internet Explorer and if you get the plug in, Faster Fox, it will go even faster.
I would say it is very likely That you IPS IS having server problems. But unless you left something out you must be able to open Internet Explorer? How else are you able to post this question ?
Click on tools in internet explorer then click on Internet options. A window will open up. Click on delete files under temporary internet files. Click ok. this will clear your temp folder allowing for more space. This should allow you to view the web page you want to see

Well, the easiest way is to clear all info stored on temporary internet files by going to tools and clicking on internet options. Then delete all cookies and temporary internet files. You could also try a malware/virus scan. You may have some bug on your computer. If you are in some sort of extreme need for use of internet explorer and cannot use another internet browser instead, try reinstalling it or updating to the latest one if you don't already have it. I hope this helped at least a little. I hope you have a great week.

and in case:

addition browsers are:

opera (passed safety tests that both internet explorer and firefox failed)

safari (not really recommended)

mozilla firefox (which is customizable to a great extent)

MSN Explorer (although you need to make a windows live account to use it)

AOL Explorer (Its okay)

Netscape Navigator (one of the most widely used although to a lesser extent than firefox or IE)

Netscape Browser (use netscape navigator 9 instead of this)

Yahoo Browser (its okay....but I personally dislike it)

I uninstalled internet explorer from my computer, but i get error mesages saying that i.e. needs to close.?microsoft

Well, windows is made in a way that IE is a FEATURE, not a PRODUCT. Windows will run VERY slowly without IE, and it'll mess up the OS in some way. The best thing you can do is to download IE from Microsoft.com again. If your not going to use it, just keep it there, even if it takes up memory, if you want your computer to function properly again.

I recently got rid of a virus on my computer using Spy Sweeper. About 5 hours later, I went to open Internet Explorer 6 and I got a message saying either to send an error report or not. I could browse the Web by going through My Documents and I visited www.microsoft.com and they said to reinstall it and reinstall my updates, which I had to do to update to help remove the virus. So, I upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, and it still doesn't work. I can't even go through My Documents because it redirects me to IE. Can you give me some steps to go through so I can fix Internet Explorer? Thankyou!

Try Ctrl/Alt/Delete

1. then go to processes

2. find the process that looks something that internet explorer would use and then end the process

For example, the extension, explorer.exe, might be something that you should end.
It seems some of the required supporting files are infected and were deleted/quarantined by your antivirus program....Re installing the windows xp service pack2 will solve the problem.
First check any cables and then you need to make sure you are getting an IP address from your provider. Go to Control Panel%26gt; Network Connections. Click on your connection (LAN or Wireless) and use the support tab to see what your IP address is and normally will say Assigned by DHCP. If it says Automatic Private then you aren't getting an address assigned to you.

You said you updated IE? Is the screen saying the site cannot be found?? if so try another website.
Start/Control Panel/Add Remove Programs

It's probably the webpage you are trying to connect to - this is a STANDARD message that comes up ANY time you cannot get to a page...

Go to Tools-%26gt;Internet Options... What does it have as your "Home Page"???

Change this to a valid page - something like "http://answers.yahoo.com" - and you should be fine ;););)

Why isn't Internet Explorer working although I have an internet connection?opera browser internet explorer

Sounds like one of the following:

1. The settings in IE for internet connection have been screwed up - try opening Tools-Internet options-Connections Tab-Lan Settings (if you have ADSL) and make sure it is set to auto detect settings.

2. Your firewall doesn't recognise the "new" IE application and has denied it external access

If you want a better browsing experience altogether then go to http://mybranding.info/firefox.php and download the faster and more secure FireFox - you wont look back I promise!
I am pretty sure you have some proxy settings go wrong...

Click Tools -%26gt; internet options -%26gt; Connections -%26gt; lan settings -%26gt; remove any proxy server and try again..

if not, then Tools -%26gt; internet options -%26gt; advanced -%26gt; rest should work
its happening because there must have occured some error while browsing.

I was using it when I had XP and I now have Vista and so far It hasn't happened. All I can say is go to tech support at Microsoft.com

Internet Explorer & Windows Vista?

For the past month or so my Internet Explorer AND my yahoo messenger keep freezing and giving me an error message saying "Program has stopped responding". I have cleaned out my temp files, cookies, did full disk cleanup and even ran McAfee AND Windows One Source for viruses or unwanted hardware and it says that everything is fine. Has this happened to anyone?

my experience with vista so far at least the ones i have had to go out on for service call is that it is a program that is still very unstable and mcAfee %26amp; Norton's just don't perform well on it, they both miss alot of virus and spyware just slips right by

The last one I worked on we went to the following programs and its working well now:

AVG for virus

AVG anti for spyware, malware, rootkits

This is not a virus, but as far as I can tell most of the community is just as stumped as you as to what it means.

http://www.delphifaq.com/faq/f84.shtml

Correction: This error seems to be caused by a corrupt internet Cache. You can fix it by clearing Temporary Internet Files folder for the selected account. Note: you will need to log in as a different account to do this, or the folder will be "in use"

It's not a virus. A corrupt file on your hard drive or a failing stick of RAM is probably the culprit. Run chkdsk on your C drive by typing "chkdsk c: /r /f" in the Start --%26gt; Run dialog to find and fix any errors that may exist.

If that comes up clean, downloading and installing the newest Internet Explorer to catch any corrupt files related to IE.

If that doesn't solve it, then I'd look into getting your RAM checked.

You receive an error message that states that you do not have the most current version of Internet Explorer?windows movie maker

When you use Windows Internet Explorer 7 to visit a Web site, you may receive an error message that states the following:

?You do not have the most current version of Internet Explorer.

?The Web site supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later versions.

This problem occurs even though Internet Explorer 7 is the most current version of Internet Explorer.

Steps to resolve the problem

To resolve this problem, ask the owner of the Web site to modify it to correctly detect Internet Explorer 7.

Steps to work around the problem

Some Web sites are designed to identify Internet Explorer 6 as the latest version of Internet Explorer. To work around this problem, you can use the User Agent String Utility. You should use this utility only to visit Web sites that cannot recognize Internet Explorer 7. When you are finished visiting these sites, close all the Internet Explorer windows that were opened by the utility.

Step 1: Download the User Agent String Utility

To download the utility, follow these steps:

a. Click the link that is provided immediately following step 1c.

b. In the File Download - Security Warning dialog box, click Run.

c. In the Internet Explorer - Security Warning dialog box, click Run when you are asked whether you want to run this software. Then, go to the next step to install the User Agent String Utility.

The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:

Download the User Agent String Utility package now. (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=7...

Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help prevent any unauthorized changes to the file.

Step 2: Install the User Agent String Utility

a. On the Welcome to the User Agent String Utility Setup page in the installation wizard, click Next.

b. On the Select Installation Folder page, click Next.

c. On the Confirm Installation page, click Next.

The wizard may take a minute or two to install the files.

d. On the Installation Complete page, click Close to exit the wizard.

Step 3: Use the User Agent String Utility to visit the Web page

a. To start the User Agent String Utility, double-click the User Agent String Utility icon on the desktop.

b. In the Internet Explorer User Agent String Utility v2.0 dialog box, click Change Settings.

A browser window opens. You can use this browser window exactly as you use an Internet Explorer 7 window.

c. Visit the Web site that does not recognize Internet Explorer 7. When you have finished, close the browser window that was opened by the utility.

You receive an error message that states that you do not have the most current version of Internet Explorer?microsoft project internet explorer

Switch to Firefox and your problem is fixed.

Why does my Internet Explorer keep mucking up?

Try upgrdin to ie7

does this happen on certain sites only or what?
Sounds as if you have a few problems!

I would check your registry with a free checker to make sure there are not any problems with broken links. Then I would re-install IE7, having saved all your favorites, or synchronised them with the server.

Try this new version of IE7Pro, it has many new features and appears to be very stable. http://www.ie7pro.com/
It can play up at random and no amount of my help will actually do anything.

Your best bet it to download and Firefox as this is the most stable and secure browser available. In the meantime let windows sort out the problems for you. (make sure you have auto-updating selected in your security centre)
use firefox free and better
Dont use ie ....Try and get on with firefox as its way better...failing that download ccleaner from here... http://www.ccleaner.com/ ... and give your registry a good clean
IE is the worst web browser in existence! So go on, carry on using it if you must, but you really should consider using one of the other freely available and (most importantly) stable, secure, and up to date browsers (none of which IE is).

Alternatives include Safari, Firefox, Opera, to name but three.. there are loads more if you just look. These three are probably the most popular and have the best standards support.

So, are you going to stay in the stone age of computing, or are you going to come into the 00's?
i use opera its fast and stable and has never let me down.works for xp and vista
have you checked the connections and for any viruses. if that doesnt work try this-right click on internet explorer icon and select start without add-ons
your computer might be old so the internet will start shuting down so it might be that you need a new computer and the computer will start working with your internet and that happen to me one time because I had a 10 old computer and it did the samething like your computer so get a new one!

good luck,

Not to mention he is completely lost. So please if you have a website that has internet explorer 6 that we can download let me know. And I'd apperciate it if you dont give me some smart a*s answer like well you shouldn't have upgraded. Thanks!

Hi, I use Mozilla Firefox and I love it!
Go to the control panel add/remove programs and unistall. It will automatically down rev to the version below
I would suggest firefox myself, but if you want to stay with explorer go to microsofts home page and download the version of ie that you want. then go into add/remove programs and remove ie7. then run the set up for the i.e. that you downloaded.

alternate suggestion (if you have your o.s. disk) (win whatever)

remove i.e.7 with add remove programs and then add i.e. from your o.s. setup disk

seriously, consider mozilla firefox
Go to google search and type in microsoft internet explorer 6 download. It will take you to the site to download it..
Go to start

then to control panel

Choose add/remove programs

Go to the the bottom of the choices and look for which yahoo toolbars are listed

if there are yahoo 6 and Yahoo 7 listed

Choose to uninstall the 7 and you will again have your old 6

If you don't see it close and re-open and it should appear.
you dont need to go to a web site to do this, simply click start, control panel, add/remove programs and go down the list till you find internet explorer 7 and delete it, then reboot your pc and it will automatically revert to internet explorer 6. I hope this helps

I HAVE NO PROBLEM GO TO ACCESSORIES SYSTEM TOOLS SYSTEM RESTORE AND TAKE IT BACK BEFORE YOU D/LOADED IT
Try a system restore. This should take you back to IE6. I am using IE7 and have no problems. download IE7 again and try reinstalling it. You could run into problems though if you are using an illegal copy of windows XP as the instaltion of IE7 checks the integrity of your system.
cause BTBroadband is crap and i can't wait to get rid. only 6 more months and i can change and bye bye BT woo hoo
Just came across same problem when "upgrading" to IE7.

I have found that replacing the "psapi.dll [18KB 09/01/2002]" file in the folder

with the one to be found in

C:\WINDOWS\system32

(e.g. psapi.dll [23KB 04/08/2004] on my system)

seems to fix the problem.

Internet Explorer is broken?

Since it cannot connect to the internet, I am unable to interact with Fulltilt Poker (depositing money and whatnot) and I cannot use MSN messenger (now essential to a new job I have). There might be a typing error in the address."

I can use all other browsers (firefox, etc) and have even tried taking down the firewall. I also checked for spyware and my computer is clean. I have tried installing the newest version of IE but that one doesn't work either. Is there some little setting I don't know about that will make my IE work again? please help!

How can I get Internet Explorer back on my desktop computer?

I had been using Microsoft Internet Explorer on my home desktop, but one day it stopped working and I got some kind of fatal error message. I am able to connect to the Internet via MSN network, but I prefer Explorer. Anybody know how to fix this problem?

How can I get Internet Explorer back on my desktop computer?windows updates

The best possible answer is for you to download Firefox browser! www.mozilla.org. Firefox blows Explorer away (I'm for real, and not joking here).

That said, if you want to use explorer, you probably need to re-install it is you're getting an error. Either that, or you can try a System Restore.

To re-install, visit Microsoft.com and search for Internet Explorer. They actually have a Beta 7 version that you can try now for free.

How can I get Internet Explorer back on my desktop computer?replacement windows internet explorer

Try the methods listed here:

http://www.theeldergeek.com/repair_ie6.h...

or the second method here:

http://www.theeldergeek.com/repair_reins...
Get 'Firefox' instead.
IE is an integral part of Windows. You can insert your installation disc and add whatever you need or you can go to the Microsoft web site and download IE 7 Beta.
I use Mozilla but there are some websites that won't open in Mozilla and you are forced to open up Internet Explorer. Go to Microsoft's website and download and install the latest version.
I also reccomend firefox

get it here: http://www.getfirefox.com

You don't have to open 10 windows to get 10 websites at the same time, just use tabs (Ctrl+T) in firefox

Not being able to access the Internet?

I have been using Internet Explorer for as long as I can remember. Just recently, I went to get on the internet and get an error message. Saying: Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

There is a check box and next to it: Restart Microsoft Internet Explorer. The error message also says that it has created a error report to send so that they can help improve Microsoft Internet Explorer. It then asks me if I want to send the report or don't send. When I first got this, I sent the report. The report went throught but I get the same message again. Over and Over again. The only way for it to go away is to uncheck the check box and click don't send. I have also just recently DL (Download) a different browser. FireFox this is only until I am able to find out what is wrong. It has nothing to do with the Internet itself from what I was told. It is just the browser, Internet Explorer. monkey_go_round@yahoo.com email me 2 help

Looks like you solved your problem. You could of course uninstall and then reinstall I.E.
Yes, same thing happened to me so I downloaded Netscape. That worked for a while, now the new browser will just crash with no notice. Now I'm really stuck as both browsers seem corrupted. I'll be watching to see if anyone has an answer. I've run all the anti-virus and anti-spyware software that you could imagine.
find internet explorer's site and update or upgrade the browser. there's a IE 7.0 now.
There's a recent vulnerability that affects internet explorer at the moment, its critical and can allow hackers to put viruses on your machine, there won't be a patch (security update) for explorer for about a month.

I'd recommend sticking with Firefox for a good month, or even longer, its a good browser.

Here's an article about the vulnerability http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/security/so...

There's kids on the net right now designing sites to exploit this weakness, use firefox or be very careful!
Yeah your internet explorer is just wack..lol... Need to make sure you have your windows updated. If you havent been getting the updates then thats your problem. If you have been then go to microsoft's website and download the latest IE whatever version and install it. Something could have happened and corrupted the internet explorer.
You may be having a conflict of interest with the firefox programme and windows, or you have a virus..sorry can;t be more help but good luck with it.
there might be some reasons for this problem.

the window which you've seen is a system which Microsoft uses

to improve its products .when your windows encountered a unusual problem and can not solve it you will see this window and you can post the problem for Microsoft and the expert there

work on it and you will see the result in next version of windows not now.

but about your problem you can install a new Internet explorer

but I strongly recommend you to scan your computer with a updated anti virus because your computer might be attempted by viruses.

hope this answer to be helpful.

bye.
Wow, you are doing better than me, you had an option! At least you got the box that has the option to send or not, you must have something going, you wrote that question! Shortly after startup, my other computer will give me a black screen with blue letters telling me that microsoft must restart my computer or it will cause it damages, it restarts only to repeat that moments later, I got that error send box for a while on this computer but it hasn't happened recently. I will have someone look at the other one, but I think you have answered your own question somewhat. I defragged this computer, hmm that may have been what helped mine, I don't know, but you might give it a try.
The exact same thing happened to me! At first, I thought it was a serious problem. I did all the same things you did, most times I would send the report; but I just kept going through the same thing again and again. Because I was having these problems I installed Firefox. I went back to using IE quite a while ago and everything was fine. But, I was surprised to find your question tonight, because recently, just in the past week actually, it's been happening again and I was going to ask the same question.

Now when I get this error message I uncheck the little box that says Restart IE (if you forget to uncheck it, it will automatically close, restart, you get the message again, etc., as you know) and I check Don't Send Report. And that's usually it - I don't get it again. I don't know what causes it. Poor IE seems to have a lot of enemies, (or I should say Microsoft does) out there and the browser gets attacked a lot. I was even beginning to wonder if it had to anything to do with my ISP, since it usually happens when I've been online for awhile - so I thought maybe they were trying to disconnect me; I heard from some people that they will do that. Or maybe the connection just becomes unstable for some reason, or it's just a glitch. Who knows.

But I just ignore it now -I really don't think it poses a problem or means anything. I suspect it will go away, just as it did before.

So, you are not alone ... and don't worry about it; just keep doing what your doing, uncheck the Restart box and Don't Send Report. It hasn't happened to me in the last two days and the last time it did, I just did what I described above, it didn't show up again - I stayed online for quite awhile after that %26amp; nothing happened.

It is annoying though, isn't it?

Why am i getting a security error when i try to use internet explorer?

maybe because you have some antivirus system or firewall enabled.

Insufficient system resources with Internet Explorer?

I am getting the error that there are insufficient system resources when trying to open ANY application on my system... but wait....

This only occurs when Internet Explorer has been accessed.

I can run the computer forever and have no problems so long as I dont open Internet Explorer. However if I open it for 5 minutes and then close it after a short period of time I will start to receive this error message.

This is a 12-month old computer with plenty of ram (as it runs ANY other program)... the key is that there are no issues so long as I dont open Internet Explorer.

I have tried to use FireFox but this results in the same error. It is OBVIOUSLY a bug however I have tried every anti-virus/registery fix program I can find. Still no success.

I am considering re-formatting/recovering my system to its original settings to resolve as a last result...

Err, never had that problem. I would try going into device manager and disabling any newly installed hardware. If that solves the problem then there may be something wrong with that device, if you are still getting the error, then I would reformat.

Insufficient system resources with Internet Explorer?microsoft live internet explorer

You can try this tool to fix it:

http://www.fix-computer-errors.info

Good luck!
increase the size of your virtural memory.
Try the basics, Scandisk, DeFrag, wipe the cash, cookies and history.

If that does not take care of it, you should reload IE.

The only other things I can think of is to get Spybot S%26amp;D, Adaware, and HiJack This! apps. Update and run them all. You could have spyware that is causing this problem as well.

All else fails, use Opera or Firefox, problem solved. ;- )

Non-operational Internet Explorer?

My IE hasnt been working since January, but I havent really worried about it since I have Firefox and its working just fine. I downloaded Firefox in October, so I dont think that has to do with the IE problems. I reloaded IE 6.0, and that didnt work, so I downloaded IE 7 today. I get this message when I open IE:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:

You are not connected to the Internet.

The website is encountering problems.

There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:

Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.

Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

I would have a problem with IE not working, but a few of the websites I want to check out dont support Firefox.

Any tips??

Get a firefox extension that allows you to view web pages with an IE base. I have it, I just forgot what it was called. Try going to the firefox website and searching for it there in the extensions.

Why do I get this message on my screen when I close out any internet explorer window?

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the information might be lost. Please tell Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error report that you can send to help us improve Internet Explorer. We will treat this report as confidential and anonymous." And then it gives you two options, "Send Error Report" or "Don't Send". I used to click on sending the error report but I have not seen any change. Also, regardless of which one you choose, it closes out ANY AND EVERY window you have open that is an internet explorer window. Can anyone help me out with this one? My mother in law swears it is a virus that someone downloaded onto the computer, but I don't think that's true.

explorer crack up it will ask you do you want to send report hit on no then go to %26gt;%26gt;start%26gt;control panel . hit on set program .Access and defaults . icon it will restart internet explorer if still same problem hit on %26gt;add remove windows components . un-check internet explorer hit on next then re-check internet explorer hit on next then try internet explorer
I think it's probably a problem with Internet Explorer, which tends to have lots of problems. If you try to reinstall it, maybe it will work again. I also recommend using an alternate internet browser, like Mozilla Firefox, which tends to have a lot less errors as well as built in pop-up blocking.
These are caused by bugs in Internet Explorer. Try uninstalling it and use a different browser like Firefox, nestcape or newer version of internet explorer

How do I download internet explorer correctly?

When I had internet explorer it was working fine, then all of a sudden when I tried to open it I got error messages saying cannot find server or page cant be displayed. I took internet explorer off and reinstalled it and it still was not working. I tried this again one time and when I tried to download it again, the wizard said that the computer already had all of internet explorer and its features. I still cant use internet explorer. Can someone please help me? By the way, I was using ie 5 and 6 and I tried to download 7 but I could'nt.

How do I download internet explorer correctly?windows mobile internet explorer

Try this, this fixes most windows errors, Click start, run, type sfc /scannow, click okay, let the scan run.
You're probably better off upgrading to Firefox
To download Internet Explorer for free a good website is www.downloads.com. That is where I download everything. If that does not work there is a problem with your actual computer and you might want to try consulting a real computer specialist. Hope this works!!

P.S. Another browser you should try is Mozilla Firefox you can download this for free at www.downloads.com .
Download the Google Pack and choose Mozilla firefox as your default browser.

You can try this tool to fix it:

Good luck!

I'm having problems with Internet explorer 7. it keeps telling there an error it has to close. how do i fix itmicrosoft zune internet explorer

Okay go to ADD or REMOVE programs and delete anything you dont reconize because for instance if you go on myspace or flixster or anything like that they do something called a backroung download it will download unessacary programs so try that it was doing that to me and I did it because my friend told me too and it works fine know hope this works!
having alot of problems with my computer as well , seems to be a trend . these things just don't work as good as they cliam . lots of problems and internet errors .

maybe try taking it back to store , have then look at it
When it asks if you want to send the error to Microsoft, let it. Sometimes the Microsoft server will recognize the problem in your PC and fix it for you.

Also, you can go to "www.ccleaner.com" Download and run that program. Understand, it will wipe put all your cookies and settings, but it will let you start over with a clean slate.
You have too many add-ons associated with Internet Explorer. Try resetting to default settings.

1. On your home page, click on Tools in the upper left side of your display.

2. Click Internet options.

3. Click on the Advance Tab

4. Towards the bottom of the Advance page, look for Reset Internet Explorer Settings...and press the Reset box...follow any remaining instructions. You will now have a "fresh" copy of Internet Explorer which will run much smoother and efficiently. Just remember that the more bells and whistles you add to Internet Explorer, the slower it will become until it just freezes up on you. Hope this helps you out!

Internet Explorer Problems?

I am having a problem with the internet on my Dad's pc, it keeps freezing up and comes up with an error box for you to send a report and then closes the internet explorer window. It is not on any one special page it just keeps comnig up every so often on any sights. Please help it is driving him to despare and me through mental torture!!!

Internet Explorer Problems?windows media player 10

Before doing anything of what I suggest bellow, do a thorough scan for Viruses, spy ware and al that undesirable parasites that infect computers.

THOROUGH CLEANUP

While you are on your Dad's PC connect to the Internet and do the following:

1. Click on tools ... Internet options. There you will see three buttons next to each other... "Delete Cookies" ... "Delete Files" and "Settings." Also, below the settings button you will see another one "Clear history."

2. Click on "settings" - go to "Edit" - Click on "select all" - Go to files and click delete. and wait till all garbage is gone.

3.Go back and click on "delete cookies" and wait till gone

4. Go back and click on "Delete files" put a check mark on the little square shown on the small window that will open and click OK and wait for a little.

5. Go back and click on "Clear history", click “yes” and you are done.

6. Now do a check disk and a defrag and restart your computer and see if the problem is gone.

7. If the problem persists, get on the internet and look in the Yahoo search for Tune-Up Utilities 2006 site, go to that site and download their free trial program, familiarize your self with it and use it to clean up your registry automatically. It is an excellent little program and does wonders with PC maintenance tasks.

8. If all of the above do not correct the problem, go to windows updates and download the new Microsoft Browser 7. But you must be careful because I hear and read that you need to be real careful in configuring it. Otherwise you may create more problems.

Good luck

To make it stop, I think you should try and send a report if its bugging you.. but i never did so i dont know what its like to send a report. It never actually bugged me..
dude uninstall it and get firefox..
do a full format on the pc and reinstall windows
try another browser

go here and download and install Firefox or any other browser available for free, I recommend however Firefox as it is reliable, free. secure

http://freewww.uv.ro/browser/info/no2.ht...
Definitely a virus try and visit microsoft before it disconnects you, you will be able to download a patch
It could be a nasty trojan virus. I had a similar problem a few months ago. Try 'www.majorgeeks.com' they have a good resource on how to eliminate viruses and spyware. Work through the steps. I did, and my problem is gone! (Of course, it could be something else, this is just a problem I have experienced).
It could be a Java related issue, check to see if you're upto date.
sounds like you may have to many programs running shut down any progs you are not using or consider a ram memory upgrade.
You can try Firefox without uninstalling Explorer and see how it goes. It has a popup stopper and there's no need to uninstall Explorer.

there seem to be two versions of Firefox, both different from each other, the one you get from here can play yahoo videos:

mozilla firefox is a much better browser, i heard IE saves data about your browsing.. anyways if it only happens when you try to use explorer just leave it and use mozilla firefox.

but if it comes from the desktop or something, you can try to recover your computer, if that doesnt work you could restore it to factory defaults.
Sounds more like a virus is on the computer. And have you installed all the latest updates from Microsoft? Either of these issues could affect IE. You are more than likely running IE7, which I really do not like the interface of. Have you tried using a different version of IE? Also, when you delete IE, you will need to go to the "C" drive and also delete the IE file folder, as it will hold some of the files that affect it from working properly. These will not be deleted when you do a Add/Delete from the Control Panel.
you can also use safari. they make it for windows now. Don't bother with IE it sucks, like most microsoft stuff.
Your IExplorer is set as a default "tool" for a type of file - check in the folder default values . I would

call the seller and get their help - they want it to work for you.
Hi

It seems to be an issue with the IE "inf" files being corrupted. Since you have already uninstalled and reinstalled IE I don't think restoring it to defaults will work.

The only option that I could think of restoring it to factory defaults like one of the other member suggested. Not to forget it might also be a virus infection if IE keeps popping up without you actually opening it. I would personally suggest back up the data and reinstall the operating system.
Follow these steps in order to fix this problem.

1. Uninstall internet explorer

2.search Mozilla on Google

3. Download fire fox which is the most secure and best web browser of 2008.

4. Enjoy the new features of fire Fox which will make you wonder why you ever used internet explorer in the first place.

Don鈥檛 believe me. Find out for yourself.

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

(-And for the record I can鈥檛 believe that there are still newbs using IE. what a joke! Anyway check out Fire fox and ill guarantee you'll never use IE again-)

yes this is the page displayed when Internet explorer can't display a page.

Now if you make sure you have an Internet connection running.

if can't display any page your connection has a problem.

If you can't display a single page, soothing is wrong with that page.

Also try Mozila Firefox

If no Internet application like IE, Outlook Express or other browsers are working,

it may be due to corrupted Winsock registry entries.

First find out if you can connect to the Internet. Just trying to use a web browser is not the best test.

Try pinging a site by both IP and Name

If pinging by IP works, then you have a connection to the Internet and the Winsock registry entries are probably ok.

If pinging by IP works but by Name doesn't, then likely you have DNS problem.

If you can't ping by either one, then you may have corrupted Winsock registry entires.

The basic steps are to:

1. Delete the corrupted Winsock registry entries

2. Import clean ones

3. Reboot the computer

For All Operating Systems - Remove the old registry entries - Download Registry Entry from this link.

http://www.onecomputerguy.com/ie_tips.ht...

(Find this section -Can't Connect to Internet With Internet Explorer);

After importing the appropriate registry key, reboot the computer

Internet Explorer 7 - can't display webpage.
