Why is Internet explorer not working???

For a few days now my internet explorer 7 wont work!! I keep getting a message saying "internet explorer cannot display the webpage. most likely causes- you are not connected to the internet- the website is experiencing problems - there might be a typng error in the address." Im able to access web via my AOL account but need explorer to work. Im connected to web no problems and can sign into msn and aol. It is any websote i try to access so they arent all encountering problems and the addresses ar typed correctly!! Any help is greatly appreciated as ive checked microsoft website and still no luck!! Even reset to manufacturers settings but still nothing. Thanks in advance.

Had the same.Your system is using your makers program to

manage the connection.You have to switch to windows.If you

click on the makers connection icon in your spacebar you can

enable it.Which is why it works.If you click on the network icon(left click)

and then.View available networks it will give the info.

To fix IE7

Boot windows in safe mode, if windows fails to do this select safe with networking or some other safe option.

In safe mode, using explorer delete the contents of Datastore folder.

Datastore folder is found in

c:\windows\softwaredistribution\ datastore.

This is safe to do as the file will rebuild itself. You may have to do it again 6 months time etc.

In IE7

1. turn of the phishing filter

2 . in –advance tab - tick the instruction to empty the temporary files when the browser closes.

Usually this is the trick, but if you still have problems, go to Google and search for “Reset IE7” as for a major shake up fix.
