My internet explorer doesn't work, any ideas to fix it?

Hi, my internet explorer (the latest version) hasn't been working lately, i think it may have a virus. Everything else works fine. When I open up internet explorer it will work for a while, until i open another page, then the page i opened will get slower and eventually freeze, and then every i.e. keeps getting slower and slower until the whole computer freezes and i have to reboot. ive even deleted and unistalled my i.e. and re-installed it again, still nothing. And every time (even if i have one page up) a box will pop up saying internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, and it gives you an option to send error report or ignore and ive tried both several times and each time i.e. still closes. Does anyone know of any ideas that may fix this problem? Your answers are appreciated, thanks.

I just had this problem this morning and asked a similar question. Deleting IE7 and going back to IE6 works. Now I want Bill Gates personal home phone number so I can scream at him.

Yes. Forget IE. Download Mozilla Firefox for a browser. I dumped IE five years ago. Microsoft plays to many games with IE.
First run "ad-aware" (by lavasoft) in your machine and let it check for adware. Then download, update and run "Spybot search and destroy". Not done yet. Now download Eusing Registry Cleaner. and run it.
