why update ie? change to a better program i am using a program that was designed for the mac but is now available for pc its called apple safari its pretty good and works with windows even if its not genuine.
You will need to upgrade your windows xp/sp1 to special pack 2

(sp2), then you can install current version of internet explorer 7 which no longer requires the wga check.
